If I were ever to post this set of photos, now is the time. Just as we thought spring had arrived, the snow rolls back in. In April! It’s craziness.
When I was at the ranch over the Victoria Day weekend (which is usually the third weekend in May, for all you non-Canadians) we woke up one morning to see that it had SNOWED. IN MAY. I was flabbergasted. Yes, Fort St. John is quite far north in B.C., but we had been outside in t-shirts the day before, so needless to say I was pretty surprised.
I really like this picture because you can tell which way the wind had been blowing. And if you look closely you can see a little bird hanging out on one of the only patches of remaining grass! (Which does bring to mind the challenges that wildlife face with the erratic weather.)
Another snowy scene… can you see the green grass just poking through?
Thankfully it all melted two days later…
